1) Whatsapp to launch new update
Whatsapp is all set to launch a new feature which will give its 1.3 million users the power to lock their voice recording. The new feature will be available for all WhatsApp beta Android users. To use it, the users will have to tap the “mic” icon in the chat and after 0.5 seconds, the app will show the users a new UI. It will then present a locked microphone button, as per a report by WABeta Info. Once the ‘lock’ option appears, users need to slide up their finger for enabling the lock recording. WhatsApp will soon update their users interface again, giving the users the possibility to navigate in chat without holding the microphone button. However, according to the WABeta Info report, there are some limitations to the new feature:
2) Jio Users Now Getting 10GB of Free 4G Data for Jio TV Streaming
With the free data, Jio users will be able to watch live TV on the app without worrying about exhausting their daily data allocation. Interestingly, the last date to consume the free data is towards March-end, and the current Jio Prime subscription will expire on March 31. The company has not yet revealed whether it will change the terms of the Prime subscription starting April — the current subscription comes with free access to a host of bundled apps, including Jio TV.
Jio TV app has 583 channels, including 39 HD channels, in several Indian languages. One of the big competitors of the Jio TV app in the country is Airtel TV, which offers live as well as on-demand content.
